Pressing Tips from Air World
For Dry Clean Pressing:
To avoid shine, seam impressions and a poor finish, NEVER use steam and vacuum at the same time when the press head is down.
For Dry Clean Pressing:
Double the vacuum time over the steam time. When steaming for 4 seconds, vacuum for 8 seconds. Residual moisture in garments will cause poor finish and wrinkled garments.
For Shirt Pressing:
Moisture (wetness of fabric) is key! 50-60% moisture content will give the best finish. When pressing collar/cuffs, the press head should be down for at least 30 seconds for optimum results.
